Working with light and shade has been an interesting experience for me. It takes practise in observation to be able to notice the light's reflections as well as the shadows. Getting the perspective right has also been a challenge in certain angles due to the fact that your brain tricks you into believing that a straight line should be drawn straight across your page. Looking closely, covering part of what I see, and comparing the lines and angles in view, while drawing, has been very helpful.
